Dallas Group Therapy
Group therapy is different from individual therapy. The
primary focus of group therapy is interpersonal interactions.
The group becomes the laboratory for practicing new behaviors.
Because there are different personalities in the group you
have the opportunity to examine your reactions to other people.
Group therapy is an effective way to deepen your understanding
of yourself and your relationships. Group therapy offers
you the opportunity to develop the strength to identify your
needs, assert yourself, handle conflicts, and receive support. Enrollment
is now open for all groups! Call
(972) 788-9201 for more
information or for a free phone consultation.

Therapy Groups offered at Enrichment
Counseling and Assessment
Weight Loss group
Over the course of this 12-week structured program, you will
develop the necessary skills to lose weight, cope better
with cravings, plan nutritious meals and snacks, prevent
binges, stop “emotional eating”, and challenge
those thoughts that get in the way of successful weight loss
and healthy eating. You will learn to change the way
you think about and relate to food.
Weight Maintenance Group
This group is designed for those who are at or near goal weight and would like
ongoing social and therapeutic support in maintaining their healthy weight.
The group meets weekly in the evenings and is facilitated by one of our professional
staff members.
Mindfulness
and Meditation Group
Mindfulness and meditation can be helpful and even life-changing
for people who feel stressed and overwhelmed. A different
topic is covered each week through presentations and in-group
practice. The evening group is facilitated by our
Life Coach.
Children's Anger Management
Children who engage in high levels of anger are more likely to have trouble
maintaining social relationships in adulthood. For this reason, it is important
that we help children learn to better manage their anger early on, before there
is a chance for more negative consequences to develop. This is a time-limited
and affordable four-week group. Group leaders use fun activities and therapeutic
storytelling to encourage change in your child’s behavior.
Working Mothers Group
When a working mother is better able to juggle her busy schedule, it typically
improves the quality of life for herself and her family. By meeting with other
working mothers, you will gain practical advice and decrease feelings of isolation.
