Marilyn
Powell, Ph.D. (Licensed Psychologist)
Dr. Powell earned
her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University
of Kansas at Lawrence in 1996 and has training and
interest in couples/family therapy, women’s
issues, parenting challenges, and addictions treatment.
She also has a special focus in wellness-oriented
trauma recovery and relationship therapy. She
researches and presents in the areas of substance
abuse, distance education learning models, couples
therapy and post-traumatic stress disorders. She
has a strengths-based orientation to counseling and
psychotherapy.
Marilyn has practiced in nonprofit and public mental health systems and believes
that people change when they have hope and that the social context within which
a person lives is critical to understanding individual and family concerns. She
has taught psychology for over 10 years at various universities.
She is currently licensed as a psychologist in the State of Texas (TX License
32601).

Colleen
Logan, PhD, LPC, NCC
Dr. Colleen R. Logan earned her
B.S. in Psychology and Behavioral Sciences from Warren
Wilson College, a M.S. Ed. in Counselor Education at
Duquesne University and her Ph.D. in Counselor Education
at the University of Virginia.
Dr.
Logan is not only a respected educator, but a well-recognized
professional. In addition to her clinical and teaching
responsibilities, Dr. Logan is the Immediate Past President
of the American Counseling Association. She is currently
serving as President of the Texas Association of Lesbian,
Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in Counseling,
a division of the Texas Counseling Association.
Her areas of interest include issues related to working
with sexual minority clients and their significant
others regarding the myriad of issues related to
providing affirmative therapy to sexual minority
youth and adults and the devastating impact of homo
prejudice. She has presented both locally, nationally
and internationally on issues related to counseling
gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender clients.
In addition, she has authored or co-authored a number
of articles and chapters as well as a book regarding
how to work effectively with gay, lesbian, bisexual
and transgender clients and their significant others.

Angela
Livingston, M.A., CPC
(Professional Life Coach/Parenting
Consultant)
Angela Livingston graduated from Argosy University with a
Master of Arts degree in clinical psychology. Prior to earning her Master’s
degree, Angela attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center
School of Allied Health where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation
Counseling. She excelled academically and earned the high honor of being nominated
to the Alph Eta Society in Allied Health by the Rehabilitation Counseling Department.
Angela’s strengths are in the areas of life management, goal attainment,
positive parenting, and teaching families how to most productively manage the
growing pains experienced during the adolescence years. She has spent much
of her professional career teaching social skills, anger management, communication
skills, time management, and parenting skills in both individual and group
settings. Her areas of focus are; stress management, positive parenting,
personal & social adjustment training, goal attainment, time management,
communication skills enhancement, conflict resolution coaching, and career
advancement. She administers various career and personality interest measures
for those who are new to the workforce, experiencing a recent lay-off, or are
dissatisfied with their current career path.
Angela currently specializes in
Life Coaching, Career Coaching, and Parent Coaching. She has worked in various
clinical and private settings throughout the Metroplex for the last 10 years.
Angela also speaks to various parenting groups in the area about “How
to Keep Your Cool When Your Plate is Full” and holds workshops
that focus on cohesion in the work place. She specializes in assisting her
clients manage the complicated issues they encounter in; the workplace, their
relationships, parenting, and many other facets of everyday life.

Heather
Hastings - Office Manager
Heather Hastings graduated from
Stephen F. Austin State University with her Bachelors
of Arts in Psychology degree with a minor in Child
and Family Development. She is currently seeking
a Masters of Arts degree in Professional Counseling.
